 | How to transform a layer without affecting its mask? Without Track Matte.
on Mar 14, 2016 at 12:21:07 pm |
Hi, does anyone know - is there a way to move a layer independently of its masks? The point is - I created a layer as a track matte for other layer. And created a lot of masks on it. But I made a mistake and the top layer has not enough size. I want to increase the size (or just move the layer a little) - but masks, of course, takes all changes with their layer so I don't want them to.
Can anyone help me?

You can use the pan-behind tool (shortcut is Y) to move a layer without moving its mask.

Wow, thank you! I always used this tool to move an anchor point but I never knew that it can move a layer instead.
