I have a couple of MOV files which are being imported in to AE and Premiere as 1920x1080, when they are clearly DV. When viewed in Quicktime Player 7's info box, look like they have the following settings:
DV 720x480 (640x480) 30.33 mbit/sec
I want to remove the 3:2 pulldown that is embedded in them, however, when they are brought into After effects or Premiere, they show up as the following:
1920x1080 (0.91), Separating (Lower)
Millions of Colors
DV/DVCPRO - NTSC
...anyone have any idea why this might be happening? I can't properly interpret the fields and footage if it thinks it's in HD already. Is this a problem with the files themselves? The person who gave them to me was using FCPX - is it possible that FCPX overwrote some of the metadata in the files? Is this an Adobe bug? Has anyone seen this before?
