This may sound a little stupid, but I am used to just pressing the '0' key on my numpad and then that green bar will preview render my comp, and as and when I am satisfied with the amount of content that green bar has been loaded or when the whole comp has finished loading, I would press the '0' key on my numpad again this time or let it automatically play (when the green bar is loaded fully), to play the content, usually at a quarter.

But since the update to CC 2015, Ae plays back the content while that green bar is loading. Leaving me with this painful experience of jerky sound, which is annoying. Can I change such behaviour? E.g. let the green bar load first then playback? Or has Adobe removed the feature for good? If so, are there any ways to work around this?

Your help is appreciated, student here and Ae level? Nowhere close to a 1.

The preview system changed quite a lot in 13.5 (Ae CC 2015) versus previous versions.

Start here:

Then read about the 13.6 tweaks here:
