Hello all,

I'm editing a video that is much longer than my comp and so I've double clicked on the footage to edit it in the footage panel and trimmed it down to the section of video that I want.

However because the footage is 2 mins+ and my comp is only 30 secs the trimmed part of my footage is lost and I can't drag it back to the screen for editing in the timeline.

Does anyone know how you do this using the footage panel? I know I could pre comp it at footage size and deal with it that was just wondering if there was a quicker fix.

Easy: go to the comp settings and change its duration.
