jaggy footage in AE but not in QT
on Nov 4, 2015 at 4:31:50 pm

Im importing some uncompressed footage into AE. We noticed some jaggedness on the imported footage and thought to check it full size in QT, and it looked fine. I've double checked my resolution everywhere in AE and it still looks bad. I tried an older version of AE as well and it still gave me the same results. We also tried rendering a full res frame and the jaggedness is still present. Here is a snapshot of my dilema. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suspect the footage is interlaced and hasn't been interpreted properly by AE. But that's just a guess.

I'm glad it worked. The footage's new frame rate should be 23.976. Your comp's frame rate should match it.

And if you have to deliver a 25fps file, someone made a BIG mistake by shooting 24p.
