I was wondering if anyone could help.

I'm currently working on a project and need to move through frames quickly.

However I cannot use the shortcut for 10 frames or 1 because the animations vary in distance.

I was wondering if there was a script that essentialy acts as a 'Go To Frame' where i can type +17 and it skips forward 17 frames effortlessly? or -17 and it skips backwards 17 frames.

The easiest way is to use the J and K keys to move to the previous/next visible keyframe. You can use the U key to reveal all keyframes for selected layers.

You can enter relative times (+17 for 17 frames ahead, +-17 for 17 frames behind) in the Go to Time dialog. Press Alt+Shift+J (PC) or Opt+Shift+J (Mac) to open it, or click the mouse in the time display on the timeline panel.
