Hello all, I've made a mockup in photoshop where I successfully blend text to an image using blending modes. To achieve the effect I need, I have "darker color" set on my text layer and another blending mode, screen, set on a hue and saturation adjustment layer linked to the text layer.

Now when I try to replicate this in after effects, i can't obtain the same result. I am able to add the darker color blending mode on my text layer, but since ae lacks adding blending modes to adjustment layers my text does not blend the way it does in photoshop. Is there a way around this? Thank you very much.

Have you tried adding your Hue/Sat effect directly to the text layer, then using CC Composite to screen the original text back on?

Wow thank you. CC composite with Screen is what I was looking for.
