I'm busy with creating a project that will work on multiple screens (16 to be exact) and I'm using live footage combined from 4 Sony Alpha 7rII camera's (at 4k quality each) to produce a long strip aprox 13500x768 pixels.
The system that will be used to play the files is watchout so I'm going to produce 16 different files each sitting on a different x y coordinates from the complete strip (my master composition). I'm using after effects and each of these output comps (1024x768) is taking me 150 hours to render (3.7 GHz, Intel Xeon, 16GB Ram)...
any suggestions how to speed this up?
Thanks alot!!

More RAM will go a long way. A single full-canvas layer consumes 40 MB of RAM at 8bpc.

If you're using multiprocessing, you might want to turn it off.

You might consider rendering an full-res image sequence and cropping/encoding with Adobe Media Encoder.
