A few glitches in AE CC
on Jun 26, 2015 at 6:31:28 pm

Hey,

Since using AECC 2015 I have notices a few bugs that I wanted to share and report to Adobe.

1- When the cache starts to get half way full my project goes black. And if I clear the cache and go to another frame is stays black, I end up needing to restart AE to fix it.

2- The hand tool no longer works in the timeline? Is this s a feature that got removed or a glitch?

3- frames don't seem to load imediately when scrubbing, it takes a few seconds for it to load from one frame to another. It happens randomly.

I am going to type this up better and submit it to Adobe but has anyone else noticed this happening?

At the moment, you're little more than a free beta tester for Adobe. I advise sticking with CC 2014 and let someone else work out the bugs...

...unless, of course, you overlooked the check box at installation that automatically deleted your previous versions. If you did, you'll want to reinstall them.

Update,

I emailed support and this is what they said -

"There is a known problem in After Effects CC 2015 (13.5), but only on Mac
OS X, where the Hand tool does not work in the Timeline panel but only
when you are using multiple monitors, the Timeline panel is on the
secondary monitor, and the secondary monitor is positioned to the left of
the primary monitor."

I am on Windows 7 with a quadro k5000 card and the problem is exactly as he described. I let them know it's a windows problem too.
