particular line has some gaps

chers my friends

i want to emit musical note lines,
unfortunatly i have gaps between the points,
so it does not perfectly form a line.

i use a layer emitter pumping out from 6 dots in a row,
seeems like the gaps are there because of my 25 framerate,
witch seems to low for my emitter speed.

somebody tried before?

You may want to set the number of particles per frame (or second, I forget) to a higher number.

i tried that to inhuman values,
but it seems like i just get more particles in the
dotted spots, the gaps still remain.

so the structure of the dashed line becomes more clear when i
increase the particles per second.

my feeling is, that i need to emit even between the frames.

If your emitter is moving really fast and cranking up the particle count still leaves you with gaps, you might need to look at the 'Position Subframe' options in the Emitter settings and try setting it to '10x linear' or '10x smooth' to see if things work better. When the Emitter is moving very fast along a wiggly path, it can sometimes skip a section of the path altogether, which leaves gaps.

thanks alot,

i have a good feeling that this is what i am looking for,
infortunatly its not available when using layer emitters.

maybe i go for a point emitter and clone this setup 6 times
fot the final thing.

thanks,
