I imported a logo from illustrator to after effects cc 2014, added it to a composition and clicked on "Create shapes from vector layer".

The result I got was this

The problem I have now is that I for the life of me cannot figure out how to connect the 2 marked points on each side of the wing looking shape to create a new shape, basically I want to end up with 3 different shapes, the circle in the middle and the 2 wings on each site as a seperate shape so I can manipulate them individually. I tried to connect them with the pen tool but it just doesn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Go back to Illustrator. Make your changes there. Then try again in AE.
