Hi,

I'm having problems rendering a 4K Red clip with a Timwarp Effect applied with the following settings:

Pixel Motion
50%
Vector Detail 100%
Block Size 10
Motion Blur: 180 degree shutter - 5 Shutter samples

When I go to render, I can render at half resolution, but not at 4K.

I get a render error that says" Unable to allocate enough memory to render the current frame (3840 x 2160 @32 bpc). Either decrease the memory requirements for the rendering of this frame or install more ram. (12805)"

I'm not very knowledgeable about processors and memory and such. I'm on a mid 2014 macbook Pro retina 2.8 GHz - 16 gigs of Ram. I'm not sure why I can't render this shot. I would set vector detail lower, but unfortunately,I feel I need it in order for the shot to look half decent.

If you have multiprocessing turned on, turn it off and try again.

Thanks, Dave. Unfortunately, I already had multiprocessing off.

What are your memory and multiprocessing settings?
What, exact, version of AE are you using down to the last decimal?
What are your render settings and output settings in the render queue?
(Screenshots would probably be easiest.)

If you turn off the Timewarp effect, does it render?

How far into the render does it go before you get the error?

It might behoove you to go into the "secret" preferences and have it purge every few frames. (Hold shift while navigating to and opening the preferences.)

Hi, Michael.

If I turn off timewarp, it renders. I can render half resolution in the render que settings with timewarp on. It renders 1 or 2 frames before the error comes up...sometimes it doesn't even get to one frame though. I didn't know about the purging or secret settings. I will look into that. Thanks.
