I am makings some disclaimers and would like the text to exactly fit in a defined space (a box) so that it is a block of text. Is there a way to do that in AE?

I do it by eyeball.

First, I make a rectangle of the desired size & aspect ratio.

Then I make a text layer, center the text in the paragraph pane and srtart typing or pasting in text. I'll add line returns at the approximate ends of lines. It looks neater that way.

Then I just scale down the text until it fits in the confines of the rectangle. If I spend more than 5 minutes on it, something's wrong.

Are you familiar with the difference between point text [link] and paragraph text [link] in Ae?
