I'm trying to find out what I need to do in options to maximize AE's performance on my PC. I have custom rig with 24 gigs of ram, an Intel i7-4790k processor (4.00GHz), an EVGA GEFORCE GTX 780 (3GB of GDDR5), 750W Rosewill Hive power source, wired internet connection, Enermax Liqmax 120s CPU Liquid Cooler ELC-LM120s-HP, 840 EVO-Series 500GB Internal SSD MZ-7TE500BW, and an ASROCK Z97X KILLER LGA 1150 R motherboard. The OS is Windows 7.

.....and the version of AE you have is....?

...and the type of AE work you will do is....?

These aren't inconsequential questions. You could make animated infographics for web-only distribution. You could do chroma key work and color grading on 4K footage. Different demands... different settings.
