I'm color grading a film shot in Red Epic 5k in AE CS6, and finishing in 1080p.
I've read a lot in the forums about AE Color space but not 100% sure I'm doing it right:

First, calibrate my monitor using X-Rite i1 or similar

In AE, here are my color settings:
Depth: 32bits
Working space: Rec.709
Linearize working space is ON
Match Legacy AE Quicktime Gamma Ajustments is OFF

Then I import the R3D RAW Files in AE
Footage shows up as 23,976 / Floating Point / REDC
I Assign Rec.709 profile to the footage
Preserve RGB is OFF
Interpret as Linear Light is OFF

Then grade away and export in .tga 1080p.

Is this workflow correct?
Is it ok to ignore the R3D source settings and grade directly in AE?

I'd love to get this checked by someone experienced with color management before I get started.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Your settings are fine in general. It's not strictly necessary to use your delivery color profile as the working space, but it usually doesn't hurt things too much.

It's been a little while since I've worked with r3d files, so I could be off on this, but I think you'll want to at least check the r3d raw settings in AE by going to the interpret footage panel and using the more options button.

I also seem to recall that the r3d options determine the footage input color profile and that interpreting the footage in AE is double dipping, in which case Preserve RGB would be preferred. I'm not very sure on this last point though.
