Hi everyone I have a slight issue while rendering out a shot in after effects.

I used trapcode particular to create fire coming out of some rockets and all looks good inside the after effects window. Unfortunately when I render the shot out I end up with black patches in my fire. Now these don't appear until I render it so I'm fairly confused as to whats happening....

Inside after effects

Rendered out

cheers

You're working at 1/3 resolution in your viewer; if Particular is sampling any layers, you may see a change in full-resolution output versus your reduced-resolution preview.

Alternately, you might be seeing cache errors, especially if you're on an older release of Ae or Particular. What versions of each are you running?

Make sure you install the latest updates for CS6:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5697

Bump up the resolution of your viewer to Full and see if it matches your render.

Maybe clear the disk cache. Ae CS6:
Preferences > Media & Disk Cache > Empty Disk Cache

Post a screenshot of your UI showing the "shot" comp, not the render queue, so we can see what you see.
