Any idea how Pebble accomplished these animations in After Effects? I talked with their designers and they said it was done in after effects but couldn't tell me how or what they used. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jaron

What part of it do you not understand? Animating shape layers is pretty basic functionality. How much experience do you have with AE?
This tutorial [link] might help explain some of it.

I've had 8 years of experience in AE. The warping and delay of points...it's not as easy as you think.

Ah, okay. I wasn't sure exactly what you were after.
The animations do look really nice and fluid. Those delays are well done!

I do think that the tutorial I linked you to might give you some ideas.

Yeah they are pretty amazing animations. Thanks for the link, yeah I've done shape tweens and shape morphs with masks, but nothing delivers the warping and delay of points. I'm stuck. Just wondering if anyone knew of some AE Effects that would achieve this.

You could be right. It isn't easiest thing in the world to do if you don't use displacement maps on nested comps for the vertical warping.....

Nice Dave! I haven't tried that. Let me give it a shot. Any idea how the clock unfolds or when it moves to the corner some points have a delay? There is a expression that can target mask points is there?

There is no expression, but there are scripts out there.
