Hey guys,

So i have a project where i created the 3d model in Maya > exported a low res and testing the compositing on After effects.
(the object is meant to emerge from the desk)

The problems i'm facing are:
1) why does it look like it's been pasted ontop of the footage and not part of it, how can i make it look realistic?
2) since this is a simple object, I'm having a hard time figuring out the lighting.

Your help would be truly appreciated as I am stuck and need to submit this soon.

Thank you in advance!!

Noise matching (or grain matching_.
Light wrapping.

Those are terms to take to Google to find lots of resources to help you.
