Brent TaylorIncreased Visibility During Motion Sketch?

So I just discovered the Motion Sketch and it blew my mind. Awesome. I see that I've got options for position and also for Puppet Pins. Great start.

What I'd like to do is have similar control over other properties, like rotation, or to be able to use expression controls in real time like this. I don't see any way to do that (please correct me if I'm wrong).

As an alternative, I made a Null Object and parented the rotation of an object to the Y position. This works great... until I get to the actual Motion sketching.

When I am doing the actual capture, I don't get to see the child object whose rotation is linked to the Null. If I check the "Background" checkbox in the Motion Sketch window, I can see it. But I can't see the rotating until after the Motion Sketching is done.

Is there an option somewhere that will let me see it moving as I perform the motion sketch, too?
