I'm having a very frustrating problem. I have a large complicated project that has lots of Quicktime films and timelines imported from Avid. I am trying to reconstruct the project, but it won't let me replace, relink or even import the individual films. I can drag and drop 1 film, it will import ok. Then I will try another, also ok. Then the third will simply wait...wait...wait...wait and then nothing. I have to crash the software. Its really get pissing me off, as Im running out of ideas how to get this project back together.
If I have to build it by scratch again, I will flip out.
Why wont my After Effects simply import a 30 mb Avid DV PAL film?
I am using the latest updated version of AE, and am on Win 7 pro.
Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance

I presume you have all the necessary Avid codecs, correct? Including one for Avid DV?

i would do a clean uninstall of quicktime components and not install 3rd party plugins until you go through a fresh render. AE's crash report should tell you which frame to help track down the clip causing the error is a good idea too. Here's adobe's rundown.
