error after upgrade

After upgrading AE and trying to open up an existing project. I get this error:


After Effects error: internal verification failure, sorry! {unexpected match name search for in group} (29::0)
I noticed in an earlier post that there is a problem with Knoll unmult.
Does anyone know when a fix will be ready or how I can get around the problem.

You can get around the problem by importing the error-prone project into a new project WITH CAPS LOCK ON. Then remove the Unmult effect from all the layers before you turn CAPS LOCK off.

You can use Video Copilot's free Color Vibrance plugin to do unmulting work.

Adobe plans to have a fix for this issue in a couple of weeks.

Caps Lock doesn't help. Neither does uninstalling UnMult. I think the effect has to be removed from a previous version of Ae.

Red Giant has just released a version of Knoll UnMult that works around this problem. You can get a new version of Knoll UnMult from Red Giant Support and swap that for your existing plug-in.

We're still on track to fix the underlying bug on our side and get the fix out in about a week.
