Hi,

I need to create an animation where I am traveling up the inside of a hollow tree trunk. I'd like to stick within the AE / Element 3D realm, but I'm at a bit of a loss.

I imagine I need to do something like put my camera inside a cylinder that has a bump map opposite that of the outside of a tree trunk.

Any thoughts/ideas are welcome!

thats good thinking with cc cylinder. But maybe a hollow shell of a 3d tree trunk would work better. either with cinema 4d or element 3d?

If you have FreeForm Pro or even FreeForm V2, you could create a displacement map based on a tree bark texture and then follow the tutorial below to create a "tunnel" that simulates the tree trunk:
