Hi there,

I'm trying to create an animation for text where each character shuffles one to the right, frame by frame - similar to this video

I'm using CS6 and have tried looking everywhere for default animations similar to this - the closest I've found is the character offset animator, but ideally I'm hoping to have the scrolling characters like in the video.

Any help/recommendations would be very much appreciated.

Thanks very much

You could type out 10 (or so) different text layers (each one frame long) so that each letter was shifted one space to the left, precomp it, then use a loop out expression with time remap.

"|_ (°_0) _|"

Thanks for your reply! That certainly would be an option, however (annoyingly) I have to make 30+ different words animate on one comp, so ideally looking for something I can copy and paste over the lot.

Cheers anyway

You can do this with some Expressions code in the Source Text property, coupled with some keyframing/Expression in the Position property. I suggest that you post your Q in the COW's AE Expressions Forum.
