Hi,

I opened an AE-file I hadn't used for a while, and I got te following warning message:

'Roto Brush & Refine Edge will not render correctly because te source frame rate changed from 23,999 fps to 24,000 fps. To fix, change it back.'

I changed the framerate of the footage-layer (via 'interpet footage'), but the Roto Brush still doesn't render the right way.

I don't understand why the framerate and Roto Brush are wrong, because I didnt'ever change the framerate.

Maybe it went wrong when the project was converted to the new AE CC - 2014 format?

I hope someone can help me out,

thanks in advance.

Check your comp frame rate too (just in case).

Yes, I already checked the comp framerate, but it was set to the right framerate.

I opened the project in AE CC 12.2 and that worked well. I checked 'interpret footage' and it says the framerate of the footage is 23,999 fps. But when I open the same footage in AE CC 2014, the framerate is 24, for the same footage.

That's odd. What kind of footage is it? Format? Codec? Etc.

It's an .mp4 file, 960 x 540, 24 fps

Where did this non-standard mp4 originate? Like, from where did you get it?

Also, what happens if you import the CC version of the project file into a brand-new CC 2104 project?

[Michael Szalapski] "Also, what happens if you import the CC version of the project file into a brand-new CC 2104 project?"

The same warning message shows up. And the framerate is still 24 fps, the same as when I open it as a project.

[Michael Szalapski] "Where did this non-standard mp4 originate? Like, from where did you get it?"

I downloaded it from vimeo:

Try transcoding the problematic footage into a proper production codec.

Okay, I'll try that. Thank you!
