Custom Keyboard Shortcuts for a Mouse With Special Buttons in AE?

Hey guys!

Does anyone have idea on how to set a keyboard shortcuts for a special keys on a mouse like this?
http://assets.razerzone.com/eeimages/products/13785/razer-naga-2014-right-0...

For example I would like to set "Undo" for the "1" button on the mouse.

I was trying to edit the config file "Adobe After Effects 12.2 Mac en_US Shortcuts.txt", but I have no idea how type in the shortcut :D

When I press the "1" button on the mouse, it writes "1" like I would type it on a numeric keyboard. But when I press it in AE, it gives the "Dough!" sound.

I have found this thread http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/1032714 but no success.

Thanks!

My guess would be that you have to have the drivers installed first. That would no doubt give you access to the key assignments, probably in the Windows Control Panel. The picture you show is a Razer Naga, so there should be driver downloads on their website:

Like Joseph said, that kind of shortcut assignment is handled in the mouse software, not After Effects. You can usually (depending on the mouse) specify which application will treat "1" as "undo." So, for example, you could set "1" to be "undo" in AE and be "brush tool" in Photoshop, if you were so inclined.

It is easier to destroy than to create.
More fun, too.

Thanks guys, that worked! :)

Actually I feel like idiot that I didn't try to download the drivers first, heheh.

If anyone bumps to this thread, here's a link to the driver:

Thanks much!
All the best,

if your mouse software doesn't support it, you can still create a custom keyboard shortcut then map it to the mouse buttons/scroll wheel with the easy to use autohotkey. it would send a fake keyboard command when you use your mouse.

May be anybody know how to program Razer Naga for FCP X? Some list of commands, file perhaps :) I found driver for that mouse but it looks like with this driver you can have some ordinary set of commands.

How we can program it like Eddie Hamilton did :) (± 7 min)

Thank you in advance.
