Hi,

I am working on some greenscreenfootage, where the actor is movin her head too much in a certain direction. The client was present at the shot, and approved the takes, but now - after - they ask me if I can manipulate the movement of her head, so it doesn´t move as much to the right as it is right now. Filming again, is not possible, this had to be done in post.

Any cool suggestion as to how this might be possible?

Thanks,

Erik

It's impossible to say with any certainty without seeing the video itself. I'm talking about doing it in After Effects at the moment.

In general, if the client is willing spend enough money and time, yes, it's possible. Think about Gollum in the Lord of the Rings movies.

Without any further information, all I can recommend is this: ask your client, "How much money are you willing to spend to fix it, and how long are you willing to wait?"

Hi everybody,

Thank you for your answers. I have tried the puppet tool, but since the person is in movement, it doesn´t work very very. Unfortunately I cannot post the video, due to restrictions in the contract, so I will give it a shot more today - and then ask my client what Dave suggested, eventhough they say it´s a no-go refilming, it might get ridiculus expensive in post anyway, so better evaluate now which solution is the best :)

Thanks for your help!

Regards,

For something like this, a re-shoot probably WOULD be cheaper.

The client should have paid more attention during the shoot -- that's obvious -- but may also want to think about being a little less picky about the footage that's already in the can.
