I have a composition (with several 3d layers and an animated model) which was originally 3840 x 2160, but attempting to render that out brings up the warning "Your video card does not support the selected configuration, please reduce the layer size."
To do this I created a new 1920 x 1080 composition, dragged the preexisting one into it, and scaled the layer size to match the new composition. Exporting still brings up the same error message though.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this?
I am using Video Copilot's Element 3D if this has an effect.
Effects like Element 3D process before transforms like scaling do, so Element sees a 3840x2160 solid and is trying to work in that.
If that's what's causing your problem, you can change the size of the solid by selecting it and pressing Ctrl+Shift+Y (PC) or Cmd+Shift+Y (Mac), or by using the Layer > Solid settings... menu item. You will also need to reset the layer's scale property to 100%.
