It's my first post here but I already found lots of answers to problems I had in the past.
I'm working on some show visuals and stumbled into a problem.
What I'm trying to make is a 2d world made out of triangles. Here's an example I created today: http://imgur.com/WZ6oBI4
The quickest method to achieve this I found so far:
1. Create the animation in After Effects
2. Apply the puppeteer effect, make the grid visible and adjust the number of triangles (I had to do each frame seperately)
3. Export a screenshot to photoshop and clean up the image, so that only the grid is left
4. Open in Illustrator and vecorize/enhance the grid
5. Import to AE
What I'm looking for is a faster way to do this. Ideally I make the animation and AE does the rest.
