I am wondering if there is any thing such as a repeater for text layers? I need to create an effect like this:

I simply did dozens of copy and paste tasks in order to get this look, however After Effects is becoming incredibly slow altough this comp actually only consists of this single layer. I doubt that it's my hardwares fault since I can work flawlessly in 2D and 3D Environments which have far more layers but just in case I am gonna post my system specs as well.

CPU: AMD FX 4100 3,6 GHz
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 760 Rev 2.0
RAM: 8GB Elixir
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Actually, your machine is on the light side in terms of memory. 8 gigs isn't really that much any more. And AE likes a lot of RAM. Always has.

Your screen shot doesn't reveal anything out of the ordinary. If you're using multiprocessing, I wouldn't. Perhaps that will speed thing up.

You could convert your text layer to a shape layer and use the shape layer repeater.
