So I just upgraded my self-produced webseries to version 2.0, with the addition of a virtual set from virtualset.com (http://www.virtualset.com/Products/Virtual-Set-Studio-181.htm). I'm trying to figure out how to use what I have in After Effects CS3 to put my hands on top of the desk instead of behind it, preferably without animating my hands frame-by-frame. Any suggestions? Here's the episode of the show that uses the new set:

Such an effect is best done/initiated during production. During production, you should have a prop that is used as the table. This prop should be in a 'key-friendly' color. Height, size, perspective should of this prop should closely match the object you intend to insert in post.
