I've searched for this topic, but I can't seem to find it.

I'm using AE CS6 on Windows 7. Just about every time I render to Quicktime Animation (which I use for alpha channel), I get a visual glitch across the image. I have to re-render the video several times to have a render without the glitch. The glitch only lasts one frame, is sporadic, and never occurs at the same place after each render.

It's driving me nuts, and I don't how to fix it. Here are my graphics specs:

What happens if you render to a different Quicktime codec that ALSO supports alpha channels? QT's PNG codec comes to mind.

Oh wow, yes, that one works well. I guess I didn't think to try it, thinking the file size would be too large. I tried using DNxHD, but couldn't get the Alpha to work correctly when I brought it into Premiere. Thanks, Dave!

Any ideas as to why the Animation codec would be so sketchy, though?

QTX has never worked properly, and if you're using it, I'd revert to the most recent version of QT7.

If you're on QT7, then I don't know for sure.
