I'm hoping someone here might have an idea/help for me :)

With the project I'm working on, a recurring scene is one of fading in Photoshop layers (from a PSD file), one after the other.
So the first layer starts fading in, then about half-way through the fade, the second one starts fading in, etc.

.. 2------------
.... 3------------
...... 4------------

The PSD files often have 100+ layers, so doing this manually is a pain in the behind, and I'm getting slightly dizzy at the thought of doing this to dozens of files.

Is there any way to automate this somehow? With a script, plugin, or something else?

Philip -

I think you may be able to use one of the built-in Behaviors in After Effects. Here's a short tutorial which doesn't focus on the ones you need, but will show you the list, which looks like there may be useful stuff there:

I see "Fade in Over Layer Below", "Fade In and Out Frames", and "Fade In and Out msec". I'm not in front of AE, but I believe these automatically adjust to the length of your still.
