Scaling / Interpolation Preview vs. Render
on Jan 5, 2014 at 6:19:18 pm

Hi all,

Having a slight problem with image scaling/interpolation -
I have a composition set to a resolution of 240x135 (8 times smaller than 1920x1080) - this is a simple animation with a series of 1px wide lines moving around. What I want to do is put this into a full 1920x1080 composition, such that those 1px lines become 8px when scaled up. When I click the interpolation on the layer to 'basic', or as shown below, it displays as I want it:

However when I render the composition, the interpolation reverts to a smoothed/blurred style:

How can I keep this as it is shown in the preview, when rendered?

Any advice appreciated, thanks!

Open the render settings for the item in the render queue, and set "Quality" to "Current Settings" instead of "Best."
