You need to get all the possible head positions into a single comp to use time remapping.

I'd suggest doing it like this:

0: X0 Y0

1: X0 Y1

2: X0 Y2

3: X1 Y0

4: X1 Y1

5: X1 Y2

6: X2 Y0

7: X2 Y1

8: X2 Y2

Then, your time remapping will be calculated by (X*numberOfPositions + Y). For example, when you set your X slider to 1 and your Y slider to 2, you get this:

X=1

Y=2

X*numberOfPositions + Y

1*3 + 2

3 + 2

5

which you see corresponds back to X1 Y2.
