Possition-based property change
on Nov 22, 2013 at 3:35:55 pm

Hi all,

I am looking to create a certain effect but don't know how to go about it, think it may involve using script.

Basically, I want to be able to control a property (say brightness or opacity)of some shape layers based on the position of another shape layer.

So I have a bunch of triangle shapes connected but on different layers, and I want them to say get brighter when a separate shape layer comes in contact with it. So if I were to do a simple tween of this separate shape layer to go across the screen, it would light up each triangle individual as it passes over them.

I hope this makes sense, if anyone could help me out on this I would greatly appreciate it!

Freddie

Ok I don't know if I'm being really silly but the code on that page, it is mean to be added as an expression for a layer's opacity right? After effects is giving me error: Timeout while waiting for the engine. expression disabled.?
