Hi,

Im having trouble when trying to mask a flopped image. I have also tried to precompose the flopped layer and then apply the mask.

Any solution?

Stig

We could be a lot more helpful if you could be more specific.

At the moment, "trouble" could mean anything between, "Help! My Pen Tool isn't working!"... and "Help! There's smoke coming out of my machine!"

If you have already applied the flop, you need to make sure you select "leave all attributes" in the main comp. Now within that pre comp, you should have an unflopped image you can mask.

Hi,

My issue is that when Im selecting (masking) a part, it actually selects an another part than Im selecting, when the image is flopped.
I dont know how to explain it better.
Try to flop an image and apply and feather a mask and you will see what I mean.

Right that has to do with the after effects order of operations, which you can't change. But if your mask is in the precomp and your flop effect is in the main comp you should be good. When you need to modifiy your mask, you need to go into the precomp.

[stig olsen] "My issue is that when Im selecting (masking) a part, it actually selects an another part than Im selecting, when the image is flopped."

I can't recreate this issue. Can you provide a sample project file?
