I am trying to roto an almost static talking head mis shot. Every few seconds it loses the edge and goes full frame. Could there be a reason or is it possible to cut and paste the roto data from the last good frame to the next and continue???

Are you using the Roto Brush or hand masking the project? What version of AE are you using? If you haven't learned the Roto Brush properly, and that's what you're using, you need to step back and get the process under your belt - it's in no way intuitive:

It sounds like you're reaching the end of the Roto Brush span. Read/watch the materials that I linked to for details about what that means and what to do about it.
