stronger graphic card

Hi everyone,

I have DaVinci Resolve setup macpro, geforce gt120 and quadro k5000
gt120 is used for user interface and monitor is connected to it
k5000 is used for render

with this setup gt120 is used as primary openGL card in after effects
is there a possibility to asign quadro k5000 in after effects to use it as primary openGL card without changing gpu setup because resolve is primary app

Switch the monitor to the Quadro.

Will it make a difference for your use? Ae uses OpenGL to draw the user interface, but it does not generally use OpenGL to render -- that still happens on the CPU. Some plugins like Video Copilot Element, Mettle Freeform, and Red Giant Magic Bullet Looks are accelerated by OpenGL, but if you are not using an effect like these, you won't see a big difference from switching cards.

The ray-tracing renderer uses CUDA, and it doesn't care if the GPU is primary or not.
