Sebastian Riveratwixtor masking and motion paths for slowmotion?

Hi everyone
I am wondering if it is possible to create extreme slowmotion in after effects by somehow using the rotobrush or masking + twistor and using still frames that transition slowly to other still frames.

WHat I am after -

If for example I record someone jumping and I want the person to stay in the air for 10 - 40 minutes
and then fall down, is there any way someone can do that using Twixtor - masking - motion paths?

What about if I grab stock footage or a video from youtube and I mask an area and then I want it to have extreme slowmotion is that even possible?

thanks for the help.

I have a 2 part tutorial here at CC on the subject. You can use these principals to pull it off. Twixtor will never look right.

one more question,

Is it possible to shoot something at 60fps then twixtor it to slow it down and then capture certain stills, re interpret to slow them down then interpolate the motion between them so it is very slow, frame blend, and then make it match into the slowed downed 60fps.

I am still trying to figure out how would I make someone jumping up very slowlyy and then in the middle of the air make him float (with small movements) for 20 minutes and higher.

thanks

[Sebastian Rivera] "....in the middle of the air make him float (with small movements) for 20 minutes and higher."

MINUTES? With small movements every now and again? I'm afraid you'd want to use a highly-specialized camera that shoots at an extremely high frame rate to do that... and even then, while suspended in air, you would be limited to the movements made on camera.

You could fake it in a couple of ways -- the Puppet tool comes to mind -- but you would probably want to shoot the subject on chroma key, and again at a high frame rate.

I also have this tutorial with masks and splines http://help.revisionfx.com/tutorial/159/ and I am currently working on one that uses still frames.
