I filmed some test interview footage on a calico green screen.

I then used Adobe After Effects CS6 (Keylight) the remove the background.

The problem I am having is when I add a moving background, even though the keyed (interview) layer is the top. The moving background appears to look like it is above the top layer in some places.
Also the clothing (not green) appears to be transparent, so you see the moving background.

Is this a common issue with Chroma Key and what can I do about it.

Search for some Keylight tutorials. As powerful and simple Keylight can be, there are a lot of settings within the plug-in, and understanding how they work will fix your problem.

And the Lord said, "Come forth and receive eternal life." But I came fifth and all I got was a set of steak knives!
