AE Audio: add reverb at outpoint of clip
on May 20, 2013 at 6:40:20 pm

Hi. I have a song that I want to end on a specific beat and guitar hit. There is more after that, but I have cropped it there by setting the outpoint. I want it to have some noticeable reverb for around 1.5 sec after that last hit.

Seems that I have to extend the outpoint beyond that chosen hit in order to hear the reverb, but then I also hear the rest of the song, which I don't want.

Any good way to do this in AE without having to go to Audition??

Precompose the audio layer. Meke the main comp 2-3 seconds longer than the precomp. In the main comp, apply the reverb effect to the precomp.

You should be good to go.

Ahh, sounds so logical. :) I'll try it as soon as AE is done rendering. Thanks!

Oops! There's a mistake in the procedure. Make sure the precomp is ALSO a few seconds longer than the audio clip, too.
