After effect: Use anchor point for center of an effect expression

Hello I have an animated object inside of a comp that has a anchor point that I would like to use as the center point for a radial blur.

the structure is: mapsComp -> myObject -> the anchor point.

What expression would grab this anchor point. I tried

thisLayer.layer(2).anchorPoint;

But that seems to not be working. Any ideas?

Why can't you just pick whip to the anchor point?

Can I do that if I need the value from a nested comp?

You can open two Timeline panels, one for each and pick whip between them.
