For folks doing GPU intensive things in AE (like ray tracing or even big models in Element) there has been news leaked about new Titan cards.

Cool! Thanks for sharing. I was looking at the Titan when I went to build my current system and felt it was a bit overpriced, but mostly out of my budget. I went with the GTX 680, which is a pretty decent card for $450.

I read that bit about the AMD card that was just released as well. Pretty impressive card, but it's too bad NVIDIA is in bed with Adobe already. I wonder how AMD could tap into that Mercury Playback technology, because those cards are a lot cheaper it seems.

Agreed! Really hoping that they make the 3D Ray Trace renderer friendly with stuff that's NOT extruded or using any of those features. If I only have one layer I want to bend or something with the 3D Ray Trac renderer, EVERYTHING else runs super slow too. Kind of annoying, but with this card, it's at least doable if I have to do it. I also have the i7-3930K with 32gb of RAM, so not like I'm lacking in other hardware.
