Have there been any improvements to the flowchart view?

Will the dependencies (finding missing footage) work in a similar manner to Premiere's new media link manager where it may be able to find footage based on timecode or metadata?

Have there been any changes/additions/removals to expressions?

Regarding your first and third questions: All of the new and changed features are listed on the page I linked to. No Flowchart panel or expression changes (other than bug fixes).

I'll post details of the missing assets feature in a couple of days. It's very simple.

From Todd's link ...

If you had missing frames in an image sequence, previous versions of After Effects would say something like this “After Effects warning: The sequence has 3 missing frames.” In the next version, the message is much more useful: “After Effects warning: Animal[1-6].psd is missing 3 frames (2, 4-5).” Also, there is now a preference, Report Missing Frames, that allows you to turn this warning off if it is annoying.
