There's a text animation where you can scroll out each line of text one by one from top to bottom. I'd like to do the equivalent, but with video. I'm trying to demonstrate what interlacing is so I'll have to have two separate instances. One with some of the video scrolling out for the odd field, then some more to fill in the even field part of it. What would be the easiest ay to do this?

You could use Venetian Blinds to split the image in "fields" (2 layers) and then a vertical wipe to animate the lines in. You can then duplicate the layer and use another wipe to isolate each line ... But that would still be a lot of work.... Maybe there's a faster way...

Ted has given a method which is pretty fast and easy.

Though you have to keep certain points on mind using Venetian blind effect.

When two layers overlap each other perfectly there will be edges left unfilled because of semi transparent edge pixels. So you have to keep the above layer in Alpha Add mode.

direction of venetian blind of first layer should be opposite to that of second. In this case, One should be 90 degrees and other should be negative 90 degree.
