I am working on my first project in After Effects 6. I started with a template design thinking I would learn about more things in a hands on way. Well, that is true, however it's not allowing me to render the preview in a way that I can edit while reviewing the project. Is there a way to render a project so that the editing of it isn't so painstaking (and unrendered). I am coming from a Final Cut Express background, if that helps. Oh, and I am working on a PC.

I've been working on this video for a long time, and it's due for viewing tonight. le sigh

The only way I know is to make a 'dynamic link' to a Premiere Pro-project.

It basically links your AE-composition to a sequence in Premiere so that you don't have to re-export from After Effects every time you change something, but you can simply render directly inside Premiere and also be able to make changes in After Effects on the fly.
Hope this helps.
cheers, Fynn

You could pre-render, or you could cache the area to the disk cache.
