Hello. I am using After Effects cs6.
When I render my time-reversed composition, it gets messy.
For example I time-reverse a composition that has track-matte layers. I preview it in AE and it looks good,
so I render it.And The rendered movie is corrupted, because its track-matte isn't time-reversed.

Have you ever seen this kinda situation?
Is it glitch? Is there any rules, something like "DON'T RENDER TIME-REVERSED LAYERS, OR YOU WILL BE IN BIG TROUBLE."
I always use time-reversed compositions, because I always need to make loop movies, so I have to use time-reverse,
but it is really unreliable.

Try a test: replace the video footage in one comp with footage in a lossless codec. I like to use quicktimes in the PNG codec for this.

Yousuke

"DON'T RENDER TIME-REVERSED LAYERS, OR YOU WILL BE IN BIG TROUBLE."

I have never heard of any problem like this before, May be a its a bug. Do have the latest update installed?

After Effects CS6 (11.0.2)

Also if the RAM preview is fine then you can save the RAM preview:
Go to Composition> Save RAM Preview and see if it works.

Try using Set Matte Effect instead of Track Mattes and check whether the same problem occurs or not.

Just pre render out the track mattes as footage. Import and replace.

Thank you for your advice.
My sequence image is png files, and I know pre-rendered video works fine.
If I apply time-remap and reverse the 2 initial key frames, it works fine.
I don't know why it works but time-reverse does not.
