I'm trying to export a project in .mov but I continue to get this error:

Not to mention I can't import .mov files either, every time I import After Effects crashes. I have the latest version of QuickTime also. I've never had this problem before but I went a good bit of time without using the After Effects, it's apparent something has changed because I've never had this problem prior.

Here are my computer specs:

Thank you in advance!

Have you tried:

- rebooting
- reinstalling QuickTime
- reinstalling After Effects

...?

Thanks for your help. I've uninstalled/reinstalled. Went to the troubleshooting page but it didn't seem to apply to my issue, any other ideas?

Connor

.mov is just a file container. Open the file in QuickTime, Go to Windows> Show Movie Inspector and the video codec and then

Followup question for Dave's Stock Answer #1 (If the footage you imported into AE is any kind of the following -- footage in an HDV acquisition codec, MPEG1, MPEG2, AVCHD, mp4, mts, m2t, H.261 or H.264 -- you need to convert it to a different codec.)

Also Do you have any Codec Pack installed like K-Lite?

Okay. Thank you, I tried doing that to the file and this is what I get for the format:

Photo- - JPEG, 720 x 486 millions.

I don't have any codec packs installed. I'm assuming this would help?
