I have AE CS6, and I am trying to get the Global Performance Cache feature to work. I never get a blue line indicating that GPC is rendering the comp.

Am I doing something wrong? How do I get it to work?

The blue line indicates that the frames are being cached to disk. Do you have the disk cache turned on?

Since it seems that you have some misunderstanding about this feature, I recommend watching this:

Thanks for the link. I just came across the video on creative cow on this feature. I didn't realize I have to turn it on and that it is off by default. From all the videos on new features of AE CS6, I just assumed that it was on by default :)

Thank you Tod.

Appreciate it!

Thanks creative cow, I just saw the video on Persistent Disc Cache where they show where to turn on the caching the work are in background. Now I get the blue line showing up while I work in the background!
