Positioning an object in 3D space
on Jan 24, 2013 at 5:09:29 pm

Hi
I have used camera tracker to map the shot in After Effects and I am trying to insert a 3D object in the shot so it's positioned correctly.

Can anyone please advice a good technique to make sure it has the right positional information so that it stays in one place? Currently I'm giving myself a headache by using trial and error! Thanks in advance!

Well, let's see....

...there's this:
http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-after-effects-cs6/3d-camera-tracker/

...and this:
http://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/tracking-3d-camera-movement.html

...and this:
http://tv.adobe.com/watch/no-stupid-questions-with-colin-smith/after-effect...

...and they were all found by going to AE's Online Help and typing in the search term, "camera tracker".

And there are more.
